Onze Fontys stagiair Colin is met een mooi resultaat afgestudeerd! Colin heeft samen met onze medewerker Jeffrey, een Augmented Reality app gebouwd in Unity om met telefoons en tablets objecten in de echte wereld te kunnen vinden en er informatie over te zien.

Met GPS en bluetooth beacons wordt de eigen positie bepaald en word je gestuurd naar het object dat je zoekt. Een belangrijk stuk infra, een brandblusser, een nooduitgang… Je vindt het met je telefoon, en je kunt meteen de data opvragen en controleren. Dat werkt, door een slim cache-systeem, zelfs wanneer je buiten het bereik bent van het internet.

Our Fontys intern Colin graduated with a great result! Colin, together with our employee Jeffrey, built an Augmented Reality app in Unity that makes it possible to use phones and tablets to find objects in the real world and to see information about them.

With GPS and bluetooth beacons your own position is determined and you are directed to the object you are looking for. An important piece of infrastructure, a fire extinguisher, an emergency exit… You can find it with your phone, and you can immediately request and check the data. That works, through a smart cache system, even when you are out of range of the internet.
